Shah Rukh Khan has had his security level raised to the Y+ category by the Maharashtra state government due to a written complaint regarding death threats against him following the success of Pathan and Jawan. Shahrukh Khan will personally cover all costs related to security service costs; these will be privately sponsored. Any remaining balance will be sent back to the state government.
People with strong threat perceptions are offered Y+ security. This requires stationing five armed guards at their home as well as employing six personal security officers (PSOs) who work three shifts around the clock. The official message, dated October 5, indicated that increased security had been implemented due to recent threats against Shah Rukh. Indian Express reported, citing its sources, that the Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) has directed all police commissionerates, district police stations, and special protection units (SPUs) in Maharashtra state to immediately provide Khan with an escorted level of security Y+ with immediate effect.
Sources have reported that in addition to Shah Rukh Khan’s own security, a continuous police presence will also be maintained near his Mannat home, and any individuals passing by will be monitored closely.
