  1. Whenever you talk with someone, open your mouth widely so that you can express your thoughts clearly.
  1. Reading books – on a regular basis, you have to go through books like Hindi, English, and Urdu to improve your diction. After reading books on a regular basis you can see your diction improve automatically.
  1. Podcast – when you’re free, record a podcast on any topic of your choosing for around 10 or 15 minutes. This will help you improve your diction.
  1. Increase the variety of your language – You can produce more variation in your speech by warming up your vocal chords and avoiding the dreaded monotone, which is only acceptable when calling Bueller Bueller.
  1. Practice your consonants and vowels – Practice singing and pronouncing vowels with various consonant sounds at the beginning, middle, and finish. Say the words “poke,” “toll,” “boat,” “cope,” and “stone” back-to-back while speaking clearly and slowly, paying close attention to the long “o” in each syllable.
  1. Your mouth should be warmed up – Last but not least, finish your diction drills with some classic vocal drills like tongue trills and raspberries. Even your diction practice can lead to vocal warm-ups.
  1. When you have to portray a doctor or detective on television who is investigating a homicide with a complicated medicine name, take diction classes if possible. They teach you how to improve your diction through various methods such as penciling it in. When my mouth won’t cooperate and there isn’t time to mess around, I place a pencil horizontally between my teeth (like a dog holding a bone) and say the problematic phrase or combination of words slowly but clearly. My tongue must be aware of its proper position when I speak that word because of the obstruction the pencil causes. I usually have no trouble pronouncing the word when I pull the pencil out of my lips since my tongue knows where to point.
